About Us

There are many Food Bank Giveaways all over the US that offer boxes and bags of food to the pubic where a person can come to the place, get a box of food, sign the distribution sheet and then leave with a box of food. That will feed the body. It leaves the spirit of that person in the same condition as when it first arrived.

Caleb Park Mission’s approach is to feed the body but at the same time offer an experience where the person gets exposed to the knowledge of the power and saving grace of the Holy Spirit through the redeeming blood of Christ. We cannot save their souls but we can introduce them to the One who can.
We will ask them if they have a Bible and if not provide them with one (if they will recieve it). then we ask them if they have a personal relationship with Jesus.  Their answer dictates the rest of the interaction with that person.

We also ask them if they are attending a church and recommend one close by.

Caleb Park Mission is a feeding ministry that endeavors to feed both the body and soul of those people who are physically and spiritually hungry. Our current focus is meeting needs in the greater Jacksonville area.
While feeding the body with good, healthy food, we endeavor to feed the spirit of those we encounter, with the knowledge of the Holy Spirit of God, so that they can understand what it means to believe in Jesus for saving grace.

While we are not directly associated with any church, our blief system can best be described with a catechism compiled by Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892) which can be found by clicking this link.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
